“Service-Learning, as a teaching and learning pedagogy, is a curricular form of engagement where students link active service with learning outcomes. At the same time, this curricular engagement enhances the students’ civic education. The De La Salle University (DLSU) incorporates service-learning principles in its vision and mission as well as in its strategic plan where all academic programs are required to have Service-Learning, at all levels. Service-Learning is imbedded and has become an integral part of DLSU’s education as reflected in its teaching, research and social engagement.”
El aprendizaje-servicio, como pedagogía de enseñanza y aprendizaje, es una forma curricular de participación donde los estudiantes vinculan el servicio activo con los resultados del aprendizaje. Al mismo tiempo, este plan de estudios el compromete mejora la educación cívica de los estudiantes. La Universidad De La Salle (DLSU) incorpora principios de aprendizaje-servicio en su visión y misión, así como en sus planes estratégicos donde se requiere que todos los programas académicos tengan Aprendizaje-Servicio, en todos los niveles.
